Our journey

The origins

The origins of NL Yachts

NL Yachts was born in the Gulf of Trieste, Italy, in a context historically tied to sailing and yacht building.

At its core are years of first-hand experience in racing and at sea, marked by the founders' national and European titles in offshore racing, which helped define a concrete approach to boat development.

Materials and expertise

Materials and expertise

At the core of the shipyard there's Northern Light Composites, a company specialised in the development and processing of composite materials.

The expertise gained in materials and production processes forms the technical foundation on which the design and construction of the boats take shape.

Growth of the project

Over time, the shipyard has also grown thanks to the support of industrial groups active in the maritime sector in north-eastern Italy, including Samer & Co. Shipping and Ocean Team. A context that sustains its growth and strengthens its solidity.

Experiences and projects

Ecoracer
Grand Soleil Blue

Among the experiences that helped shape the shipyard's journey is Ecoracer, developed to test new solutions and recyclable materials on a racing boat that went on to win Italian titles and gain recognition in the industry.

To this is added Grand Soleil Blue, a daysailer developed together with Cantiere del Pardo, created as a project dedicated to a new idea of the contemporary weekender and built with recyclable composite materials.

Collaborations

Collaborations

Over time, collaborations have developed with designers and figures active in the industry, who today contribute directly to the development of the models in production.

The CG30 was born from the work with Cossutti-Ganz Yacht Design, a studio recognised in the world of high-performance sailing, while the GD34 was developed together with Gianluca Guelfi and Fabio D'Angeli, with the contribution of Luca Rosetti. A combination of experiences that helps define the shipyard's technical identity.

Today

A growing facility

With the opening of the new rFactory, NL Yachts enters a more structured production phase. A space with direct access to the sea, designed to support the shipyard's evolution and accompany the development of the boats currently under construction.
